Jobs at Hospital Guide to Find a Job Fast
If you are looking for a new job, then the best thing for you to do is to start applying. If you don’t apply for a job then you will never get the job. But you need to know what it takes to apply and where to apply so I have create a short little guide here to help you get that job you want.
The first thing you need to do is to create a resume. If you have a difficult time making a resume then Amazing Resumes is a great software that will help you create a perfect resume to get you a job. If you would like to make your own then read the next two paragraphs.
In the resume you will include your name, address, phone number and email. Then of course a list of prior employment. After this it used to be common to include a list of qualities that made you right for the job like “team player” or “dependable.” However, with the competition out there these qualities are viewed as unoriginal and will often get your resume put to the end of the list. So what do you do?
What I recommend is write a short description of what your responsibilities were at each of your previous jobs. This will give them an idea of what you have done and then you have an opportunity to load the paragraph with good qualities about you that will help you get hired.
Once you have an original resume done I would then create multiple resumes. Create one for each type of job you are applying for. Fine tune the resume to show qualities that will be needed for the individual positions you will be applying for. For instance, a RN for the ER vs one for labor and delivery will need different backgrounds and qualities.
Now that you have a few resumes it is time to start getting them out there. The most convenient way is to use a service called Resume Rabbit which will submit your resume to 75 sites with just the click of a button.
Even if you use Resume Rabbit I still recommend that you sign up for the following sites. They are the top career sites out there and in this tough market getting your resume to employers will help, but it may not be enough. You need to keep looking and apply for jobs you find. So I recommend that you should sign up for these sites, add at least 1 resume and then look for jobs listed on the site. Then when you find something you like you can easily apply for it by sending them your resume.
Monster- This is my favorite site and if you were only to use one, I would suggest this be the one. They always have multiple listings for any type of job in every area. It is amazing how many jobs are listed on this site.
Apply for Healthcare jobs on SnagAJob.com- This is my next favorite site, especially for health care. They have a great variety of jobs and you should easily find the one you are looking for here.
Beyond.com- This is another great site, full of a lot of job options. You can easily search for the job you want and then apply for it. You should have no problem finding a good job here.
HotResumes.com- This is not my favorite site, but you can often find jobs on this site that other sites don’t have. This site is also nice because employers are often looking through the resumes on this site and I have known many clients to get job offers that way.
